Product Owner (Maternity Cover)

6-month FTC maternity cover, to start January 2025*

As a Product Owner, your role will involve defining, prioritising, and assessing the work of the product engineering team to deliver exceptional products that align with our mission. You'll take pride in developing high-quality, market-leading products that drive customer satisfaction.

About the role:

• Create, prioritise and maintain a product backlog, prioritised according to business value or ROI
• Drive the creation and delivery of product releases aligned with the roadmap, ensuring exceptional functionality, user experience, and performance
• Champion product strategy by aligning sprints and releases with high-level themes and long-term goals
• Collaborate with scrum teams to define features and deliver timely, impactful releases
• Craft use cases and prioritise, write and refine stories and epics to keep development focused and aligned with strategic objectives
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and process
• Foster collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within a distributed team, inspiring timely, high-quality product releases

The must haves:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in B2B software environments
• Deep understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodologies and processes
• Expertise in writing user stories, epics, and managing regular product releases
• Strong knowledge of commercial product development
• Degree or equivalent preferred in fields like computer science, software development, or business information systems

The nice to haves:

• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience in project management methodologies and tools to facilitate effective planning and execution.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certifications
